Scout Niblett (* 29. September 1973 in Staffordshire, England; richtiger Name Emma Louise Niblett) ist eine englische Sängerin.
Biografie
Früh lernte Emma Louise Niblett Blockflöte und Klavier, sie weigerte sich jedoch nach einiger Zeit, anderer Leute Lieder zu lernen. Nachdem sie den Film "Wer die Nachtigall stört" gesehen hatte, nannte sie sich nach der darin vorkommenden Protagonistin "Scout". So entstand ihr Künstlername. Mit 19 Jahren zog sie nach Nottingham, wo sie eine Kunstschule besuchte. 2001 traf sie Schlagzeuger Kristian Goddard, mit dem sie wenig später ihr erstes Album aufnahm. Er ist auch auf der Bühne die einzige musikalische Unterstützung. Sie ist schon zuvor nach Amerika gezogen.
Für ihr zweites und drittes Album engagierte sie den Nirvana- und Pixies-Produzenten Steve Albini, wobei sie sich für ihre letzten beiden Alben eine Band zur Unterstützung geholt hat.
