Lutz Görner, am 1.1.45 in einem Luftschutzkeller in Zwickau geboren, ist er in Köln und Aachen aufgewachsen. In Köln hat er Theaterwissenschaft und Germanistik studiert, dort sein erstes Engagement als Schauspieler gehabt, war Regieassistent von Boy Gobert am Hamburger Thalia Theater und anschließend an den Münchner Kammerspielen/Theater der Jugend. Dort in München wurde er mit 30 Jahren Rezitator. Nach fünf Jahren hatte er seinen ersten großen Erfolg mit Goethe für alle. Ein Programm, mit dem er auch beim bürgerlichen Publikum bekannt wurde und ihm die Stadttheater ihre Tore öffneten. Dann gab es 17 Jahre lang bei 3sat seine viel bewunderte Fernsehserie Lyrik für alle. Nun hat Lutz Görner seine Rezitatorentätigkeit nach 38 Jahren beendet und ist Moderator, Regisseur, Bühnenbildner, Musikdramaturg und Erfinder neuartiger Klavierabende geworden.
