Ways Away

In 2019 vocalist Jesse Barnett (Stick to Your Guns) partnered with Sergie Loobkoff (Samiam / Knapsack / Racquet Club) and drummer Jared Shavelson (Joyce Manor / BoySetsFire/ Paint it Black) aiming to pen the perfect melodic post-punk/hardcore song. This resulted in their debut self-titled album in July 2020 produced by Beau Burchell (Saosin).

In October they released a theme song for the Liquid Death on War Records followed by the single, ‘Working Class Suicide Pact’ in December followed by, ‘And For A Moment I Don’t Wanna Die’ the following September (appearing on a split 7” with Iron Chic in 2022.)

Flash forward to 2022 with the release of their sophomore album, ‘Torch Songs’, (again by Burchell), supported by successfull european tour and appearances at festivals such as Jera on Air (NL), Vainstream (DE), 2000 Trees (UK), Full Force (DE), Fest (Gainesville), Pouzza (Montreal) and numerous shows on both coasts. In 2023 they added Samiam bassist Chad Darby and were included in the Drive Like Jehu memorial compilation with Thrice, Sparta and more.

They are currently putting final touches on album 3 slated for early 2025.
