PANORAMA is a new interdisciplinary performance format conceived by composer and bassoonist Burak Özdemir as a vibrant, 360-degree space for encounter. Music, movement, poetry and improvisation come together, without the conventional separation between stage and audience.
The first chapter, “Monteverdi & Donne d’Amore,” opens Musica Sequenza’s new season on 11 October 2026 at the Emmaus Church in Berlin-Kreuzberg. At its centre are the music of Claudio Monteverdi and works by forgotten female composers of the Italian Renaissance and early Baroque, including Barbara Strozzi and Francesca Caccini.
The musical world of PANORAMA moves freely across centuries and cultures. Byzantine chant, early polyphony, Baroque repertoire, folk traditions and contemporary composition can coexist side by side.
